Law360, New York (March 09, 2012, 8:02 PM ET) -- Two regional natural food store chains inked a merger agreement Friday that will unite Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market and Sunflower Farmers Market under the Sprouts banner, majority-owned by private equity giant Apollo Global Management LLC.
The combined chain will operate 139 stores with 10,000 employees in nine western states and is expected to bring in $2 billion in revenue this year, according to a statement Sprouts issued Friday.
