Law360, New York (April 05, 2012, 7:31 PM ET) -- The Supreme Court of Chile told two air carriers on Thursday that it would not loosen antitrust restrictions imposed on their planned merger, tossing out an October appeal filed by LAN Airlines and TAM Airlines.
The Chilean and Brazilian carriers contested requirements that they receive preclearance for code-sharing agreements, that they give up rights involving flights to Peru, and that they submit to monitoring from Chile's national economic prosecutor and an outside consultant.
