Law360, New York (August 28, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Gas provider Suez SA has gone directly to the top in hopes of wrapping up its extended merger with government controlled utility Gaz de France, appealing to French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
In a letter to Sarkozy, Suez CEO Gerard Mestrallet offered a solution to the myriad of legal obstacles that have prevented the companies from finalizing the takeover deal, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday.
