Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 6:39 PM ET) -- Farley's & Sathers Candy Co. Inc., which owns the Brach's brand, will merge with century-old confectioner Ferrara Pan Candy Co. Inc., maker of Lemonheads and Red Hots, to create a candy powerhouse, they said Wednesday.
The parties did not disclose the deal's terms or give an expected closing date, but said Catterton Partners, the Connecticut-based private equity firm that formed and owns Farley's & Sathers, will stay a majority investor after the sale.
