Law360, New York (June 29, 2012, 3:27 PM ET) -- Anheuser-Busch InBev NV will plunk down $20.1 billion for the half of fellow brewer Grupo Modelo SAB de CV that it doesn't already own, combining industry giants to create a global powerhouse in the ever-consolidating beer world, the companies said Friday.
The agreement answers reports that cropped up throughout the week suggesting the two were nearing a blockbuster deal. Together, the companies will have roughly 40 billion liters in annual beer volume and end the year with revenues of $47 billion.
