Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 12:58 PM ET) -- Campbell Soup Co. has agreed to buy natural and health food retailer Wm. Bolthouse Farms Inc. from Chicago private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners LLC for $1.55 billion, the New Jersey-based food manufacturer said Monday.
Campbell will purchase Bakersfield, Calif.-based Bolthouse Farms from a Madison Dearborn fund in an all-cash transaction. The food giant will fund the deal with a combination of short- and long-term borrowings, it said.
