$385M Deal For Offshore Unit Boosts Golar's LNG Operations

Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 4:40 PM ET) -- Golar LNG Partners LP said Monday it will pick up a floating gas-processing vessel for $385 million from its parent company, notching the second such deal as part of a partnership between the two to spread assets and divide operations.

The larger company, Golar LNG Ltd., owns and operates offshore vessels that convert liquefied natural gas. Since its subsidiary went public in April, Golar LNG Ltd. has looked to unload its vessels that are under long-term charters of five years or longer.
