Freeport Investors' Records Appeal OK'd In Suit Over $9B Deal

Law360, Wilmington (February 15, 2013, 11:40 PM ET) -- A Delaware Chancery judge Thursday allowed a group of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. investors to intervene in a suit over its planned $9 billion deal to get two energy companies and cleared the investors to appeal to the state's high court for guidance on when derivative plaintiffs need to file books-and-records requests.
