Consumers Say AMR-US Airways Merger Cripples Competition

Law360, New York (July 02, 2013, 10:12 PM ET) -- The planned merger between American Airlines Inc. and US Airways Group Inc. faces yet another challenge as a group of 40 consumers sued the companies Tuesday, claiming the $11 billion deal would drastically reduce competition and raise fares if it is allowed through.
