FTC Clears Nielsen’s $1.26B Arbitron Buy With Conditions

Law360, Los Angeles (September 20, 2013, 9:11 PM EDT) -- Information and measurement firm Nielsen Holdings NV has reached an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission to settle charges that Nielsen’s proposed $1.26 billion acquisition of Arbitron Inc. may substantially lessen competition, agreeing to divest certain assets in exchange for the deal’s approval, the FTC said Friday.
