Amphenol Pays $318M For GE Sensor Unit

Law360, New York (November 15, 2013, 2:40 PM ET) -- Electrical and fiber optic connector manufacturer Amphenol Corp. Friday said it will purchase General Electric Co.'s advanced sensors business for about $318 million.

Amphenol said in a Friday statement that the acquisition of Advanced Sensors, which supplies sensors and sensor-based instruments in an array of markets, including transportation, automotive and medical, brings together two companies with complementary products, signaling the potential for growth and prosperity on both sides.
