Deals Rumor Mill: Humana, TCV, Intel

By Linda Chiem (May 29, 2015, 5:46 PM EDT) -- Health insurer Humana Inc. is considering putting itself up for sale after several competitors have approached it with a potential transaction, continuing a wave of consolidation in the health care sector, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday. Humana is reportedly working with advisers at Goldman Sachs Group Inc. after the health insurer received "indications of takeover interest" from other insurers, including Aetna Inc. and Cigna Corp., the WSJ said. If any deal materializes, it would be sizeable, considering that Humana had a market value of about $28 billion before reports of the talks began swirling Friday, the WSJ said....
