Law Firm Faces New Round Of Harassment Claims

Law360, New York (September 19, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal court has handed a woman who claims she was sexually harassed at the law firm where she worked a mixed victory, granting her motion to intervene in a Title VII case brought on her behalf by the U.S. Equal Opportunity Commission, but also granting the defendant’s cross-motion to compel arbitration.

The case’s caption will be amended to reflect Melissa Castillo’s status as plaintiff-intervenor, but her claims against the defendant will be stayed pending the resolution of the arbitration.
