Law360, New York (March 10, 2004, 12:00 AM ET) -- In a case that pits the world’s top camera makers against each other in a battle for the $4.3 billion U.S. market, the Eastman Kodak Company has sued the Sony Corporation for infringement of 10 patents related to digital photography.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Rochester, alleges that Sony's products use technology invented by Kodak, including an "electronic camera utilizing image compression and digital storage."
The patents cover various aspects of capturing, storing and displaying both still and moving digital images....
