Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 2:56 PM ET) -- The Chapter 11 trustee for disgraced money management firm the 1031 Tax Group LLC has slammed a $3.35 million bill submitted by Dreier LLP, the defunct law firm that drew up the company's reorganization plan.
In an objection to the final application for fees filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, Chapter 11 trustee Gerard McHale lambasted Dreier, whose founder Marc Dreier is serving 20 years in federal prison for helping bilk investors out of $400 million.
