Clear Channel Taxi Ad Monopoly Suit A No-Go: Judge

Law360, New York (January 04, 2010, 2:33 PM ET) -- A judge has tossed a lawsuit from a rival company alleging Clear Channel Taxi Media LLC attempted to establish a monopoly on the rooftop advertising displayed on New York City taxicabs.

Judge Naomi Buchwald dismissed the suit with prejudice on Dec. 29 from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, finding that the plaintiffs failed to provide evidence that Clear Channel violated antitrust laws by communicating with the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission about rooftop advertising systems.
