Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 12:51 PM ET) -- Southwest Airlines Co. and AirTran Holdings Inc. each have received second requests from the U.S. Department of Justice in an antitrust review of Southwest's plans to purchase its discount-airline rival for $1.4 billion.
The companies announced Tuesday that they received the requests from the DOJ's Antitrust Division the day before, describing it as a common part of the DOJ's review process under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
