Deals Cut Down Litigation Over 2006 Greyhound Crash

Law360, New York (March 03, 2011, 5:12 PM ET) -- Greyhound Lines Inc. has reached settlements with plaintiffs in more than a dozen lawsuits over a deadly 2006 bus accident, paring down consolidated federal litigation in New York over the crash.

Judge George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ordered 14 cases closed Wednesday, saying the parties had settled.

Also on Wednesday, Judge Daniels signed off on orders dismissing Greyhound's claims against third-party defendants UNICCO and Motor Coach.
