Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 6:55 PM ET) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Wednesday trimmed two claims against Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in Tronox Inc.'s suit alleging it went bankrupt because Anadarko intentionally saddled it with billions of dollars in environmental liabilities in spinning it off.
Granting most of the defendants' motion to dismiss, U.S. District Judge Allan L. Gropper cut claims for civil conspiracy and aiding and abetting a breach of fiduciary duty, saying Tronox had not presented enough facts to support its assertion that Anadarko was in cahoots with co-defendant Kerr-McGee Corp....
