Judge Rules Pepcid Complete Patent Is Invalid

Law360, New York (June 06, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A judge has dismissed a patent case brought by a unit of Johnson & Johnson and its partner Merck & Co. alleging that Perrigo Co. infringed a patent used in the formulation of Pepcid Complete.

In a ruling Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge William H. Pauley III declared that the companies' patent for famotidine was invalid due to obviousness.
