Law360, New York (September 13, 2011, 3:35 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Monday permanently enjoined Otis Elevator Co. from producing, selling, installing or importing elevator systems that a jury found to infringe a patent held by Schindler Elevator Corp.’s unit Inventio AG.
U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon granted Inventio’s motion for permanent injunction and awarded judgment to the Schindler subsidiary after a jury found in July that Otis’ installations violated U.S. Patent Number 5,689,094.
