Judge Approves A&P Chapter 11 Plan

Law360, New York (February 27, 2012, 7:05 PM ET) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Monday approved the reorganization plan of supermarket operator The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co., which looks to exit Chapter 11 with $645 million in exit financing and an additional infusion from private equity investors.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert D. Drain signed off on the plan during a hearing Monday, according to a spokeswoman for the company.
