Virgin Mobile Dealt Setback In Phone Patent Suit

Law360, New York (September 04, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal judge has shot down Virgin Mobile USA’s bid for summary judgment in a patent infringement suit brought by a wireless communications equipment maker over videophone technology.

Judge Mary L. Cooper on Friday also placed a 90-day stay on Visual Interactive Phone Concepts Inc.’s suit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, saying that Visual Interactive was in the middle of a legal battle with another party in a New York state court concerning the validity of a licensing agreement,...
