Law360, New York (May 24, 2012, 4:55 PM ET) -- A federal judge on Wednesday declined to dismiss claims made by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission against Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Co. and executives from health care nonprofit Consumer Health Benefits Association for deceptive marketing of a medical discount plan.
The FTC accused various companies, nonprofits and some executives of violating the Federal Trade Commission Act, the Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act and the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule.
