NY Judge Won't Remand $350M Life Insurance Dispute

Law360, New York (May 25, 2012, 4:51 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge on Friday declined to remand to state court a dispute over $350 million in life insurance policies between a religious organization and a West Indies-based trust.

The YLL Irrevocable Trust and Kochav SARL had asked the court to remand the case, which it originally had filed in New York state court, alleging religious group Kolel Beth Yechiel Mechil of Tartikov Inc. had violated terms of an arbitration intended to resolve the dispute.
