Two Trees Pays $185M For Domino Sugar Factory Site

Law360, New York (June 22, 2012, 7:22 PM ET) -- After tentatively agreeing last week to buy the former Domino Sugar factory site in Brooklyn for $160 million, Two Trees Management Co. LLC upped its offer and signed a contract Thursday to acquire the property for $180 million, a person familiar with the deal said Friday.

Two Trees, which is run by the Walentas real estate family, signed a preliminary term sheet on June 11, sparking a mini bidding war with the Katan Group, half of the troubled joint venture that owns the Domino Sugar site....
