Judge OKs Jones Day Hiring In Levitz Ch. 11

Law360, New York (December 05, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Despite the objection of a U.S. trustee, a judge has given the green light for law firm Jones Day LLP to represent Levitz Furniture in its Chapter 11 case.

In an order Tuesday, Judge Robert E. Gerger of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York said that, despite the contentions of the U.S. trustee in the case, Jones Day was a disinterested party.
