Law360, New York (March 31, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The heirs of Superman co-creator Jerome Siegel, who sold the rights to the action hero to Detective Comics 70 years ago for $130, are entitled to share the U.S. copyright with Time Warner Inc., a federal judge ruled Wednesday.
Judge Stephen Larson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted Siegel's widow, Joanne Siegel, and daughter, Laura Larson, his half of the copyright to the Superman material.
