Real Estate Rumor Mill: Google, Neiman Marcus, La Quinta

By Kaitlin Ugolik (March 27, 2014, 8:47 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. is expanding its presence at Manhattan's Chelsea Market again, with an additional 75,000 square feet, bringing its total space at the building to 395,000 square feet, according to Crain's. The deal comes just weeks after Google expanded by 90,000 and then another nearly 18,000 square feet earlier this year, while also growing its space at nearby 85 10th Ave. The tech giant reportedly leased about 360,000 square feet at the latter location last year. Google's New York headquarters is just across the street from Chelsea Market, at 111 Eighth Ave., where the company kicked off a boom of tech leases in the area with its $2 billion purchase of the 3 million-square-foot building....
