Law360, New York (March 01, 2006, 12:00 AM ET) -- A deadline for Delta Air Lines Inc. and its pilots’ union to reach an agreement on more than $300 million in annual concessions passed Wednesday with no deal in the works.
Because the two sides failed to negotiate a deal on pilot wage and benefit cuts, a three-person arbitration panel will now have to step in.
The embattled carrier and its pilots agreed last December that arbitration proceedings would begin in mid-March, with a decision due by mid-April, if no deal was made this week....
