DOJ Should Ground Airline Merger, AAI Report Says

Law360, New York (July 10, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Justice should block the proposed merger of Delta Air Lines Inc. and Northwest Airlines Corp., a report from an antitrust watchdog group said.

The proposed merger could potentially raise fares and lead to fewer flights and worse service, Diana Moss, a vice president and senior research fellow at the American Antitrust Institute, said in a 19-page white paper issued July 10.
