Law360, New York (July 17, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Thursday ordered an administrative law judge hearing to determine whether disgraced hedge fund Amaranth Advisors LLC manipulated energy markets.
In setting the matter for a hearing, FERC denied Amaranth's request to rehear a July 2007 show-cause order that assessed the hedge fund and two of its former heads with $291 million in fines.
