Law360, New York (February 10, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal appeals court has overturned a $2.8 million patent infringement ruling against the owner of Bath & Body Works in a dispute over a patent for a type of candle container with a lid that doubles as a base.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit on Monday found that the lower court had incorrectly declared the patent valid when it should have found the claims at issue invalid for obviousness.
