Law360, New York (February 18, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- DataTern Inc. on Tuesday fired a lawsuit at seven major U.S. travel and financial services companies — including United Airlines Inc., American Express Co. and Hertz Corp. — accusing them of infringing a patent related to accessing databases.
The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, also names American Airlines Inc., Discover Financial Services Inc., Avis Budget Group Inc., and Wells Fargo Bank NA as defendants.
