Law360, New York (April 30, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Journal Register Co.'s amended reorganization plan has won the support of its unsecured creditors but still faces objections from the U.S. trustee overseeing the case and others claiming the plan is thin or unconfirmable.
The new plan, filed Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, reflects a settlement with the company's unsecured creditors, which were slated to receive nothing under the original prepackaged plan the Journal Register filed at the beginning of its bankruptcy.
