Ex-Kan. AG Could Lose License After Abortion Probe

Law360, New York (October 13, 2011, 7:54 PM ET) -- Former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, who spearheaded a controversial investigation into abortion clinics, should be suspended from practicing law for mishandling private medical records and other ethical violations stemming from the probe, a Kansas disciplinary board said on Wednesday.

The panel found that Kline, who served as attorney general from 2003 to 2007, violated the Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct numerous times in handling, copying and storing patients' private medical records.
