Hotels.com Accused Of Breaking Price Match Guarantee

Law360, New York (February 22, 2012, 8:54 PM ET) -- An unhappy Hotels.com LP customer filed a putative class action against the company in Texas court Friday, claiming the online hotel booking tool does not honor its promise to match any published room rate lower than its own.

Hotels.com's terms and conditions contain a “price match guarantee,” which says that if customers find a lower publicly available rate online for the same dates, hotel and type of room, the company will match the price and refund the difference, according to the petition.
