Law360, New York (April 25, 2012, 6:48 PM ET) -- The White House on Wednesday announced strong opposition to a cybersecurity bill the House is expected to pass by the end of the week, claiming the legislation in its current form does not provide enough safeguards for privacy and civil liberties.
The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, sponsored by Reps. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., and C.A. "Dutch" Ruppersberger, D-Md., aims to help companies defend themselves from hackers by creating incentives to share information on emerging threats, but the White House said the bill goes too far....
