Apple App Data Tracking MDL Slated For Sept. 2013 Trial

Law360, New York (May 08, 2012, 8:47 PM ET) -- A California federal judge last week set a September 2013 trial date for a consolidated putative class action in multidistrict litigation accusing Apple Inc. and several others of violating consumer privacy laws by offering smartphone apps that allegedly track user data.

After mostly denying Apple and the other app developer defendants' motion to dismiss the plaintiffs' first amended consolidated complaint, U.S. District Judge Lucy H.
