Law360, New York (May 11, 2012, 7:36 PM ET) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Thursday denied Wells Fargo Bank NA’s petition to appeal a district court judge’s decision to grant class certification to homeowners accusing the bank of participating in a scheme to force mortgage holders to buy property insurance at inflated rates.
Wells Fargo had argued that U.S. District Judge Robert N. Scola erred in granting the class certification because class treatment is inappropriate for claims that turn on circumstances that will vary for each class member.
