EPIC Asks Senate To Expand Privacy Act Damages After Cooper

Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 4:19 PM ET) -- The Electronic Privacy Information Center on Monday urged a Democratic senator in solicited guidance to ensure that his proposed modernization of the Privacy Act permits compensation for mental or emotional distress, in light of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that barred such recoveries.
