Facebook Strikes Deal To Resolve 'Like' Ad Action

Law360, New York (May 23, 2012, 2:45 PM ET) -- Facebook Inc. has reached a settlement in principle in a putative class action targeting Facebook's allegedly nonconsensual use of users' "likes" in advertisements, according to a court document filed Monday in California federal court.

Details of the agreement were not immediately available, while Michael Rhodes, a Cooley LLP attorney who is handling the case for Facebook, and Robert Arns, an attorney with The Arns Law Firm who is representing plaintiffs, both declined to comment.
