Law360, New York (June 08, 2012, 4:16 PM ET) -- Apple Inc. on Friday reportedly agreed to cough up more than $2 million in penalties to an Australian regulator, after admitting that calling its latest iPad 4G-compatible was misleading to the public.
Apple and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission told an Australian federal judge that the two parties have decided to settle the suit that alleged the iPad 3 couldn't access local 4G networks, despite being advertised as "with WiFi + 4G,” The Australian reported.
