Law360, New York (June 21, 2012, 8:47 PM ET) -- Hugo Boss USA Inc. on Thursday was hit with a class action in California federal court alleging the clothing retailer violates federal consumer protection law by failing to remove sensitive payment card information from its shoppers’ receipts.
Customer Travis Benware said in his putative class action that Hugo Boss violates the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act by including on its credit and debit card receipts the expiration dates of its customers’ cards, thereby leaving them vulnerable to identity theft and fraud.
