Pfizer To Remove Centrum Breast, Colon Health Claims

Law360, New York (July 06, 2012, 4:20 PM ET) -- Pfizer Inc. on Thursday agreed to pull claims that its popular Centrum brand vitamins promote breast and colon health after a consumer watchdog group threatened to sue for deceptive advertising.

In a letter sent through its Patton Boggs LLP attorneys, Pfizer promised the Center for Science in the Public Interest that it would stop using the breast and colon health claims in advertising and labeling for Centrum products and that it would provide further clarification on heart health and energy claims contained on packaging for the...
