Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 4:47 PM ET) -- A major consumer advocacy group urged federal regulators on Monday to block Verizon Wireless' plan to license $3.9 billion of wireless spectrum from cable companies, calling the proposed agreements an “end run around antitrust laws.”
The Consumer Federation of America told the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission that the proposed joint ventures are a “competitive cease-fire” that would divvy up an already concentrated market.
