Law360, New York (September 17, 2012, 7:01 PM ET) -- Frito-Lay North America Inc. was hit with a proposed class action Thursday in Florida federal court, accusing the snack food giant of deceptively marketing its bean dip as “all natural” when it actually contains genetically modified organisms.
Plaintiff Kelli Altman contends that labels on Frito-Lay bean dip advertising the product as "all natural" are false, because the label fails to mention that the dip contains genetically modified soy, which is a man-made product, the complaint says.
