Law360, New York (September 17, 2012, 1:56 PM ET) -- A Missouri federal judge on Friday approved a $7.5 million settlement agreement in multidistrict litigation against Aurora Dairy Corp. and several U.S. retailers alleging Aurora sold milk falsely certified as organic.
The settlement provides class members who purchased the allegedly mislabeled milk from Aurora and the retailer defendants — including Costco Wholesale Corp., Safeway Inc., Target Corp. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. — with up to $30 apiece in cash payments and requires Aurora to agree to a number of stipulations regarding its organic milk production practices....
