Law360, New York (February 15, 2013, 7:09 PM ET) -- Banco Santander SA's U.S.-based auto-financing arm was hit with a putative class action in California federal court Friday alleging the company illegally recorded telephone conversations with customers without getting their permission.
Named plaintiff Jose C. Zendejas claims a Santander employee who called him on his cellphone last month never told him at the outset that their conversation was being recorded, only admitting to taping the exchange after Zendejas asked her directly about it toward the end of the call.
