Law360, New York (March 09, 2012, 12:18 PM ET) -- Technology-focused private equity firm Insight Venture Partners LP is taking database applications provider Quest Software Inc. private in a deal valued at $2 billion, the parties said Friday.
Insight, whose $5 billion portfolio includes stakes in Twitter and daily coupon site LivingSocial Inc., will pay $23 per share of Quest stock, a 19 percent premium over Thursday's closing price.
